A Powerful Taiwan-Japan Alliance! TherapiAI Signs Strategic Partnership MOU with Japan’s LSDC

Synergizing Software and Hardware Capabilities: Driving AI × GMP × Digital Twin to Accelerate the Implementation of Smart Manufacturing in Biopharmaceuticals

TherapiAI, an AI-driven pharmaceutical technology company, announced yesterday (the 21st) the official signing of a strategic partnership Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Japanese digital manufacturing solutions provider LSDC Co., Ltd. The signing took place this week during INTERPHEX Week Tokyo 2026, Asia’s premier pharmaceutical exhibition. The two companies will embark on an in-depth collaboration to jointly drive the practical implementation of AI technology within the biopharmaceutical and CDMO industries. This partnership not only strengthens TherapiAI’s strategic presence in the Japanese market but also marks a significant milestone in the internationalization of Taiwan’s AI biotech startups.

Taiwan-Japan Dual-Track Strategy! Complementary Market Positioning × Deep Technological Integration

Under the newly signed MOU, both companies will leverage their respective local advantages to adopt a complementary model for market and technical collaboration.
In terms of market strategy, LSDC will act as the primary contracting party and lead client development in the Japanese market, while TherapiAI will serve as the primary contracting party in the Taiwan market, with both parties acting as robust backstops for each other. For technical implementation and on-site deployment, LSDC will be responsible for system integration and on-site deployment, while TherapiAI will focus on AI model development, inference platforms, and API provisioning.

Looking ahead, the collaboration between the two parties will encompass multiple dimensions. These include the implementation of AI for pharmaceutical and CDMO clients in Japan, application verification for Documentation AI Agents, the integration of AI with on-site digital systems (MES / LIMS / QMS), Digital Twin process simulations, the optimization of technology transfer processes, as well as Taiwan-Japan biotech technical exchanges and joint seminars.

Tackling CDMO Industry Pain Points: Overcoming GMP and Knowledge Transfer Bottlenecks with AI Technology

In recent years, the global biopharmaceutical and CDMO (Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization) industries have faced multiple challenges, including escalating process complexity, severe data silos, inefficient technology transfer, and heavy GMP documentation burdens. Traditional manufacturing relies heavily on expert experience and manual decision-making, encountering significant bottlenecks in process optimization and knowledge transfer.

To address these industry pain points, both parties are combining their respective core strengths. TherapiAI has long focused on building AI Agent platforms for Pharma and CDMO clients. By utilizing Private Cloud and On-Premise architectures, it assists enterprises in implementing AI-driven workflows while ensuring strict regulatory compliance and data security. Its core capabilities span AI Digital Twin platforms, Documentation AI Agents, Process Optimization Agents, knowledge management, and process decision support. LSDC, on the other hand, is deeply rooted in the digitalization of Japanese pharmaceutical manufacturing, possessing extensive on-site experience in manufacturing execution and digital management systems such as BatchLine.

Embracing the New Era of “AI-Native Manufacturing”: Connecting the Asia-Pacific Market with Japan at its Core

Michael Han, Founder and CEO of TherapiAI, stated: “The next decade of the biopharmaceutical industry will not merely be about digitalization, but rather the era of ‘AI-Native Manufacturing.’ TherapiAI has already established a multinational AI ecosystem that encompasses drug design, process development, GMP compliance, and smart manufacturing. This collaboration with LSDC will enable us to truly embed AI into GMP and manufacturing workflows, as well as build a Digital Twin Infrastructure capable of continuous learning and optimization.”

LSDC officially stated: “While the Japanese pharmaceutical industry is accelerating its digital transformation (DX), the market still lacks comprehensive solutions that truly integrate AI, GMP, and the manufacturing shop floor. This collaboration with TherapiAI presents a unique opportunity to introduce a next-generation smart manufacturing model to the Japanese pharmaceutical and CDMO industries.”

Looking ahead, TherapiAI stated that in addition to continuously deepening its presence in the Japanese market, it will leverage Japan as the core hub for its Asia-Pacific expansion. The company aims to further connect with Singapore, Southeast Asia, and the broader global biopharmaceutical market, continuously exporting the smart manufacturing capabilities forged by this Taiwan-Japan alliance.
